How Does The Process Work
At Medimoon Escapes, we provide a comprehensive, step-by-step guide to plan your medical holiday, ensuring every detail is taken care of before your journey begins. Here's how it works:
Inquiry and eConsultation: Once you reach out to us, we provide all the information needed for your eConsultation. You'll be asked to submit your medical history, details about the procedure you're interested in, and relevant photos. This data is shared with our top surgeons to create a personalised Surgical Recommendation.
Surgical Recommendation: You'll receive a detailed Surgical Recommendation, which includes the surgery's cost, what's included and excluded, and the suggested duration of stay in both the hospital and the destination country after the procedure.
Scheduling and Booking: After reviewing the Surgical Recommendation and deciding to move forward, we’ll book your surgery and provide a link to finalise your reservation with a deposit.
Pre-Departure Preparation: As your departure date approaches, we assist with all necessary preparations. You'll receive a final treatment plan, which outlines the details of your surgery, costs, hospital and surgeon information, and essential contacts for your driver and local care team. We also offer guidance on visa requirements, post-operative care, travel tips, and medical travel insurance.

Prior to this, we act as your point of contact with the surgeon, allowing you to ask questions and thoroughly discuss your expectations.

When Will I Meet My Surgeon?
You will meet your surgeon in person for a detailed consultation 1 to 3 days before your scheduled surgery. This meeting ensures that you are fully comfortable with your treatment plan and have all your questions answered before moving forward.
Payment and Procedure Confirmation
You are not required to pay for your surgery until after your in-person consultation. This gives you the opportunity to confirm that you are satisfied with the treatment plan before proceeding. Payment will be made directly at the hospital once you’ve confirmed your decision.
Follow-Up Appointments
During your stay, follow-up appointments with your surgeon will be arranged to address any post-operative care needs and provide detailed aftercare instructions. Your surgeon will monitor your recovery to ensure everything is progressing well. Our Destination Manager will help coordinate these appointments and handle all travel arrangements to ensure everything runs smoothly.

What Happens If I Have a Concern When I Arrive Home?

What is the Required Stay for Surgery/Recovery?
The length of stay required depends on the procedure you're undergoing. Typically, stays range from 7 to 14 days, but for more complex or multiple procedures, patients may need to stay for 16 days or longer.
Your surgeon will provide a personalised recommendation during the planning phase based on your specific treatment. This allows you to plan your trip accordingly and ensures you receive the appropriate care during your recovery.
What Type of Implants Do You Use, and What Can I Expect During Recovery?
Our partner hospitals use high-quality Mentor or Motiva breast implants. Every breast augmentation recovery is unique, but here are some general guidelines:
Returning to Work and Exercise: Depending on your job, you can usually return to work after two weeks. Light exercise, like walking, can also resume at this time. However, avoid driving during the first week, and minimise car travel for two weeks, taking extra care with seatbelt positioning. Your surgeon will give you specific advice on your recovery timeline.
Exercise Timeline: Arm and chest exercises can typically be reintroduced after 8 to 12 weeks. High-impact activities like jogging and jumping should wait until full recovery. Your surgeon will provide a personalised recovery plan.
Pain Management: Pain levels vary, but most patients experience mild to moderate discomfort for the first 1 to 2 weeks. Your surgeon will guide you on managing pain and prescribe medication if necessary.
Implant Lifespan: Top-quality breast implants can last over 20 years. Our premium implants come with a 10-year or lifetime manufacturer warranty against structural defects. Most clients replace implants due to personal preference, not medical issues.

Post-Surgery Support Garment: A post-surgery support garment is essential for managing swelling and promoting healing. Typically, patients wear these garments for 6 to 8 weeks.
Driving After Surgery: You won’t be able to drive during the first week following surgery. For the first two weeks, minimise car travel and take care with seatbelt placement. Your surgeon will advise when it's safe to drive again.
What is Individual and Group Travel?
Individual travel involves travelling at your convenience with a friend or family member, subject to the surgeon’s availability. Group travel, on the other hand, means you'll be escorted to Thailand by one or two of our trained professionals. This option is ideal if you prefer added support or don't have a travel companion.
Can My Partner Travel with Me?
Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring a travel companion, who can stay with you throughout your journey at no extra cost. Hospitals provide a sofa bed for your partner or friend, and transfers are included for your companion as well.
Do You Offer Payment Plan Options?
